All of my female cherry shrimp have been carrying eggs for a few weeks now. As of yesterday, they have all stopped moving around. In fact, it is as though they are hiding. The males on the other hand are swimming around and acting normally. Is it normal for females to hunker down just prior to releasing shrimplets?
The only thing that has changed is the tank began to develope staghorn algae. The cause was operator error. I began dosing the tank with Flourish Excel last week.
