i just got a female cichild that is holding and from the petshop to my house she lost 4 of her babys. i still have her in the bag waiting to she if she will pick up her babys before i put her my tank. should i release her without the babys and just see if she will pick them up later in the tank or wait untill she picks them up in the bag?

In my experiences if she doesn't pick them up straight away then she isn't going to pick them back up. She probably won't in the tank for sure...they will get lost or eaten.
How big are the fry? Free swimming?
I'd just add her without them, its tough but really nothing you can do unless you have an egg tumbler to put the fry in.
