I would think so. Shape of the tail is easiest to sex them ... pointed in males, rounded in females...

Yes its a female. She does look a little stressed or not in full color. Do have a male?? How long have you had her?? Take a look at the pics that wayne posted.

I had her for about 2 weeks... well, I didn't buy it, haha, but I saved it from a friend who was gonna dump her fishes. I didn't know how old it is. She's the only krib I have, in a community tank (29 gal). The coloring problem... I have no idea because she looked like this when I got her, and I've never had kribs before =( In addition, I didn't have a good enough camera to take pictures, so I guess it's affecting the coloring a little bit.. but surely she looks kinda dull.

Get a male, you might see a change. I dont know.

I'm not so sure i'm convinced thats a female...Looks like the dorsal fin is pointed at the back. And its a bit hard to see the tail. Any more pics?

I'm with CM - I'm not so certain that isn't a washed-out male, dull because of stress...

Ehh colors arn't a good judge for me though. Many things come into play there. Breeding techniques, breeding bloodlines, camera flash, etc.

Males dont generally have yellow on their face (chin) though, right???

I guess it really depends on their bloodlines. The ones i had way back never had yellow...males or females.

ahhh.. this krib is so shy that I can hardly get her out to take more pictures... plus my camera sucks =( ..well.. if I do get some good pictures, I'll post them. Thanks for the help though...
