A few from today after the waterchange when he was displaying. Crappy pics, just some quick shots.

you call thoes crappy!!???!!?!?!?!?! ether thoes are some beautifull fish youve got a great camra or both. how do you get such great pix! i even use a trypod and i still cant get clear pictures. i take pobably 100 pix and they still dont come out great.

Thanks, they are bad to me because of all the glare and distractions in the picture. Those are taken basically with 1 foot on a chair and me aiming the cam. But thanks. He is a nice fish.

very very pretty!!!!! seee youve got me hooked, and im gonna end up going cichlid even after my hellish experience with my demonspawn!!!! never own a jewel cichlid again grrrr. but those are some really nice pics!!!

man, i really need to get some auto focus lenses for the canon....right now all ive got to use are contax lenses....they are all incrediably sharp and colour correct BUT they are complete manual, so i cant get any good piks of fish.

but nice work man...they look good, for africans

Manual's better...I shoot all of my pics in manual. Its easier to get the eye in focus and your composition right than using autofocus (autofocus tends to focus on the body). When I started shooting in manual, my "keep" rate doubled.

I shoot Tropheus without any problems using manual...they too are super fast and never stop. It just takes a little practice.
