I just picked up some FW aquarium salt to help with my ich removal, I got my temp at 84(raising it to 85), And added the salt at a ratio of 1 tablespoon for every 5 gallons of water in my 70, which was 14 tablespoons.
Now with the salt added, am I still going to need to do everyday water changes? can I tide it over with every other day? And the salt doesn't evap or anything, so the only was to remove it is with water changes... Is it okay to keep using it once the treatment is over? or am I looking for a massive water change at the end of treatment? I've heard that the salt can be good to use on a regular basis?

If you plan to do waterchanges durring treatment, replace the same amount of salt - for example, if you remove 10% of the water, you'll remove 10% of the salt, so put 1.4 tablespoons back in. Once treatment is complete, do several 50% WC's.
That is the regimen I follow. Not sure if that is the best method, but it has always worked for me.

It wont hurt to leave some of the salt in there...but I'd probably do one bigger change when you're finished treating and then the rest of the salt will just make its way out with your weekly water changes gradually.

Don't be afraid to really crank up the temp into the low 90's, just make sure the water is well oxygenated and look out for signs of stress, I had my tank in the 97/98f range for a week, this was with Angelfish and a Red finned shark. It was like a fish Jacuzzi, but they seemed totally happy at those temps.

I got it at 86.1 right now, and I totally agree on the jacuzzi feeling whenever I open the lid. I got an air pump hooked up to my powerhead for some serious o2 plus my aquaclear 110. Thanks much for the advice guys.
