Filter for 20g

Hello, I unknowingly bought my first tank/kit at walmart. The filter that came with it was pretty bad, you can't change the media. I want to go get a new filter, i saw AC 300's on sale for $30, wondering if that would be too big? I have 8 barbs in the tank, 2 clown loaches, 3 otos.

You really can't have too much filtration. I would just go wtih the AC 300 - you should be fine.

yep - always go big with filters - your filter is the heart of the tank, so it's certainly worth the investment.

An AC300 will definitely work on a 20g. An AC200 will work as well. A general rule of thumb is that your gph should be 10 times the gallons of the tank. So, 10 times 20 gallons = 200 gph. Thus, the AC200. The AC300 gives you 300 gph.

Just don't want you to think that a 20g required an AC300....for budget's sake, I guess.
