Filter media

I have a Fluval 204 on my cycling 29 gal. What type of filter media do most of you use? It came with the bio balls and carbon. I filled two chambers with bioballs, but left out the carbon as it is a planted tank, plus I didn't see a need for carbon at this time. What else should I be putting in there?

i just use filter floss. it's really up to you, what you want to use.

That would be my rec too ... filter floss, bio-balls. Carbon as a standby for removing meds should you need it.

Yep. I have a 404 that I run with the two bottom trays filter floss, and the two upper ones bio balls.

No need to buy that expencive filter floss at the LFS. Go to any craft store or section and pick up some polyester fill. Thats the same stuff and much cheaper.
