I would say for that tank i would put in there  Magnum 350 and maybe a powerhead but the powerhead really isn't needed :) Ummmmm........on the Oscar thing you should feed him about 5-8 small pellets twice a day ;)

Well, you could use a net to block off the oscar from getting the food at feeding time for the Arowana ;D

;D plan on getting a bigger tank eventually. You know how the story goes. But don't tell my girlfriend ::)  also is the magnum 350 better than a fluval 404  should i get the reg 350 or the deluxe 115 including shipping for the deluxe compared to 125 including shipping for fluval the reg. 350 is 20 bucks cheaper

I have a 125 gal that I will be keeping 2 tiger oscars, 2 convicts, 6 jewels, 1 pleco and a red tailed shark in. My filtration will be a Fluval 404 ($89 www.bigalsonline.com), Emperor 400 power filter($36@Big Al's) and 2 Hammerhead power filters (about $22 each at Big Al's). By the way, did I mention Big Al's? Great prices and the max shipping charge is only $11.95!! Good luck!  ;D

A highly recommend the Magnum 350 PRO with the dual bio-wheel. Until you get the bigger tank once those fish start getting bigger, you are going to have a lot of ammonia from the waste of those guys alone. I found the bio-wheel will help you in keeping the tank clear of the clouding, and ammonia/nitItes will never be a problem.

I would also keep an aqua clear or two running for help. It will help between filter cleaning by picking up extra debris, and they are a lot easier to clean then the magnum.

If you don't get the bio-wheels, you are going to need some sort of bio-media inside for additional bacteria to live.

Pick up some sort of filter media such as bio-max from fluval. Put these in the media container instead of carbon. If the bio-wheel stops, due to needing cleanning you still have some bacteria inside the canister....or a perfect seed(or a bio-wheel for seed) for the next tank.

:p I know its going to get messy.I have an arowana 12"   6" albino oscar and 2 large plecos in a 55 gallon.I have 2 aqua clears i think 300's on the back. Shold i try a powerhead if so what size or a canister filter for the tank? I do a large siphon to clean rocks and change water once a week.Any suggestions also the food i feed the arowana is expensive and the new oscar see's to eat it quicker than the arowana even if i try to feed them both at once??? How much food is enough for this hungry oscar? ;D ;D

;D ;D Thanks for the tip on big als!I sighned up for a catalog and looked around yesterday.I haven't seen the fluvals i must have missed them!To answer the other suggestion, i put  a couple of handfuls of bio media in each aqua filter so i can rinse the spunges out a little more often without loosing the good bacteria. I also noticed after feeding my new oscar ciclid sticks cause to much mess i think they are made by tetra. The hikari food sticks seem to be less messy. :p
