hello all.
i have a tetra 20 deluxe kit and it work great, came with a tetra whisper fx20 i think is the model. any way it vibrates pretty good on the the tank and then i go over and apply pressure its dead quite except the soind of the water pooring out i tried to take some tape and in a way tie it down tight on the rim of the tank but it just vibrated itself loose after an hour or so. its not that big of a deal just annoying at times.
does anyone have any trick to stop the vibration???

Do you know where exactly it's vibrating from? I'm not familiar with the Tetra HOB models, but it almost sounds like maybe the impeller housing isn't seated all the way. Does the filter look warped in any way? That might account for it vibrating.

I don't use that type of filter, but I've heard of people putting a piece of sticky-backed foam on the filter to keep it quieter. You can find it at hardware and craft stores. It comes on a roll, kinda looks like masking tape.
