Congrats. Fry should hatch a few days after the eggs were laid. They should be ok on feeding for about a week after hatching because of egg sacks. BBS and Crushed flakes will do fine. Take the parents out when they show aggression towards the fry, the start to breed again, or when the fry reach about 1-2".

Hmmm another spawing of a convict pair in a 10 GALLON. All that oppose it......boo yah! :D

some of my fry are missing overnight. a large number of fry disappeared overnight. the male never goes near the pot, and when he gets even remotely close, she bites him, and he goes to the other side of the tank. she just picks them up and moves them to the back of the pot. when will they become free swimming, and when should i start feeding them my self?
