Beautiful Lamp!

I don't think that's a true Neolamprologus bricharid though. N. brichardi have a sideways 'T' on the gill plate, and that bad boy has more of a 'Y'. It is similar, I think it's something like a daffodil brichardi or something of the like. I think it's something like a sub speices. They are all very very similar though.

Great looking fish! If I get back into rift lakes I probably will either get some neolamp shell dwellers or brichardi. They were some of my favorite fish to watch.

Orion..... you're still alive!

Nice fish OP. They look like these fish I have been seeing in a local water overflow area by a park......

they are daffodil brichardi orion. the normal brichardi are just grey and I'm not a big fan of them. lil to plain, these guys got at least some color. and they have just reached sexual maturity and have had thier first spawn. got about 30 of the lil guys I'm guessing. to small and quick to be able to count accuratly yet.

Ahhh lol, that's the fella.

I don't know if I got some strange mutant strain or what, but the ones I had weren't gray, but especially the males had an iridescent blue on the filaments and on the fin edges. I wouldn't call them feather fin pretty, but I never found them to be lacking myself.

I feel sorry for you if it's their first spawn. Once they start they aren't going to quit! No, it's a great treat to watch all the different generations interact with one another.

I look forward to having more but main goal for these fertile farts is sale. as with all my cichlids. tend to keep the best looking young for myself and sell the rest.
