You should wait until your NitrIte is 0 before adding anymore fish, sounds like it's almost ready. *thumbsups How long has the tank been set up? What size?

Edit: I am guessing the tank in your sig?

Yep...that's the one, but I'm down to the pleco and 1 kenyi.
I switched the substrate to sand and had an ammonia spike as the tank tried to cycle(I guess)
It's been about a month since I lost all the fish.
Which one is NitrIte? No2, or No3?

NitrIte is No2. I would give it a few more days to a week and test again. When it's zero you can add more fish. However, please keep in mind that since you only have 2 fish in there, that is probably all that your bio filter has bacteria to support. In other words...stock slowly and continue to test your water. If you add too many fish at once you could get another spike.

At most I'm only adding 2 fish, and that's after I return the kenyi. Or if anyone is in the Rochester NY area, and wants a 4in female kenyi...
Either 1 Oscar(or Jack) or 2 parrot cichlids.
So there's no major stocking planned.
