Finally upgraded the pump and pipes

here are some pics:
i made the pipes i 3/4 pvc pipes with two return exits with an mtx spout

here is the sump and pump pipes

and here is the dual overflow with a third siphon tube since im running a 1600 gph pump i needed more water siphon and the the tube i had from single overflow made the trick

very cool, have you checked to make sure your break siphon works in the event of a power outage?

yeah the litle hole on the return pipes yes i placed it just below the top water level and it works fine thanks for the info

yea I dont even want to imagine how much it would suck if someone forgot to put in syphon breaks and the power went out..

very worthwhile upgrade and beneficial to the tank.

for a syphon break all you need to do is make a hole in the return pipe just below water level? wow... thats easy... im going to have to do that.

not even because theres no benefit to not having syphon breaks lol, atleast in roulette you get to keep your life if you win

my sump isnt set up yet. i have every single thing i need except... the return pump. a necessary piece of equip. but i will be sure to make a break syphon.

Just where does this hole go?

goes an inch or so underneath the waterline on the return outlets from the sump into your tank.

when the power goes out and the return pump shuts off the return lines create a back syphon effectivly draining your tank in the reverse manor of the return. With the breaks the spyhon is broken and no flood.

that would suck BAD if someone forgot to make one on a huge tank... just think about 50+ gallons of SW on your floor.
