Finrot Worries

OK i have two tanks, my main tank is up and running with healthy fish, but my question is about the other tank. I have two guppies in the other tank that both have finrot. I presume the fin rot was caused by overcrowding in that tank as it was only 10 gallon and i had exceeded the 1 inch per 1.5 gallon rule. Now they are the only two left in there, i have placed jungle treatment for finrot and have not noticed it getting worse but i have not moved them over. My question is.... If there two have finrot will moving them into new tank cause it to spread to other fish?

It's a possibility, I would keep them isolated until you are sure the rot is gone.

Finrot isn't usually easily spread to healthy fish. However, I wouldn't move fish into a tank until they're healthy again. Being put into a new tank is stressful, which could cause the finrot to get worse.

ok how can i tell when finrot is cured? the fins are still torn and ugly looking but not getting worse... how do i tell if it is cured? They both are very active and healthy looking, they don't look red anywhere or in pain, they are swimming and seem to enjoy eachothers company.

I like to wait until I see the tails starting to grow back. The edges should be clean with no white or black edge on the fins.
