I just purchased a fire gourami. It's colors are fantastic! But, when I got home I could find very little info on them. How big do they get? How long do they live? compatibility? any information would be helpful, thanks

Really? That's surprising. But here's a little info:

Fire Gouramis are a type of 'dwarf' gourami. Basicly, a fire gourami is just a diffrent color variation.

Thier scientific name is Colisa lalia. They only get to be about 2 inches long and do best either in m/f pairs or one to two females per male in case you have more than one male.

They'll live up to 3-4 years if kept in excellent water conditions.

ALSO, use the scientific name 'Colisa lalia' to look up information on them. They're also known as 'red fire' dwarf gourami.
