first coral

well here are some pics of the first coral to enter my tank. I am told they are green star polyps. let me know what u all think of them.

Those are green star polyps. Hardy and they usually grow fast. Don't put them near anything you don't want them to spread onto.

what kind of lights do you have?

2 coralife 30 inch t-5 double linear strips. till I get a reef light that is.

should work for the GSP aswell as some other softies like xenia, kenya tree, toad stoal, zoanthids and shrooms

are all soft coral photosynthetic? I think thats the word. cause I'd like to stick to that kind for now so I don't have to worry about feeding them accual foods. trying to keep things simple right now.

most depend on light for survival but all coral eat and usually obtain what they need from the water column. Some polyps and LPS corals benefit from target feeding, such as ricordea, and palys.......brain,etc.

well what I ment by feeding is prepaired foods. like frozen plankton or what not.
