Well my first guppy i purchased finally died. She was a survivor made it through two tanks, many fin nips from barbs, gave birth, was a real champ... but she fell ill quickly and i couldnt catch it in time to save her. I tried but she was dead when i got back from church today. Luckly no other fish are showing symptoms so i think it was internal with her time to watch my fellow fish to make sure they are safe.

I have had bad luck with female guppies in general. The first one gave birth to my gorgeous little fry (about 30) and never quite recovered from the birth. She died a couple days afterward. The second seemed to have trouble delivering and died. :(

Sorry for your loss!

I've had good luck with guppies, I've had one female give birth to 4 maybe 5 lots of fry and she's still going strong!!! I always like to keep the females separated from the bulk of the males (mostly males in the big tank and females, fry and a few males in the smaller tank) as I find the males chasing them around stresses them out a fair bit.

Geuss it was just the time. By the sounds of it she had all the highs and lows of life.:)

I remember as a nOOb I put in 6 male guppys with my shoal of tiger barbs, the lasted minutes!
