First mishap with gold gourami

Well my little gold gourami had an accident yesterday morning,He/she some how got her/his feeler tangled around a fake plant at first i thought it had died but i moved her/him with my net and it started thrashing about i freed her/him from the plant but he/she lost part of a feeler.

Will the little gourami recover and will the feeler grow back?

Oh and i figured out that the gourami must have been spooked to get so tangled up ,one thing for sure it's easily scared of fry and anything else that is quick is this odd for gouramis?

His feeler will grow back, but keep an eye out for infection where the feeler ends. Make sure you keep up on water changes to prevent infection or stress while he's healing.

Gouramis can be upredictable, sometimes they get spooked.

k,i was just worried,could he may have suffered more then just a broken feeler since he was tied down by it under water unable to get air?

If he's acting normally, you shouldn't worry. Labyrinth fish can breathe through their gills in addition to the labyrinth organ, so I doubt he had any problems.
