first time breeder with success

well...i threw my crowntail with my female for the second time and it worked...but because im new i had a couple of questions...like should i now keep the light on? or i could turn it on and off?...plus when do i start feeding the fry?

IMO, I keep the lights low ... you want to create a peaceful ambience. Feed the fry ASAP... frequent smaller feedings rather than "big" feedings.

Have you read through Iggy's and Precious Gem's threads on breeding bettas? Congrats on the very first step...although getting through the rest of the steps sounds even more challenging.

ya hahaha i no i actually have read all of the iggy's " round two" first off mad props to all u betta breeders hahaah...welll my male is still at obviously, its jus that his nest doesn't seem to big, its jus bunched together, its not even filling up the whole circumfrance of the cup, but i think all the eggs are in the bubbles so im guessing its okay...if the two where breeding yesturday will i see fry today??

just out of curiosity, as this is a bett breeding thread, will the fry eat egg yolk? I've read this somewhere, but I heard it causes teh water to become cloudy...is this true?

yeah.. it does make the water cloudy... they DO eat egg yolk.... almost any fry will eat it... if you look at fry food and their ingrediants... it always says some egg yolk..so thats why fry food makes water cloudy
