Okay, the parents of a friend of mine set up a 55 gallon tank about a month ago. They had two male dwarf gouramis. One became dominant and harrased the smaller one. The smaller one has been sulking in the corner of the tank. They want me to take it and put it in my tank, but I am very unsure. I currently have eight neon tetras and three green corys. I was thinking about getting a couple of otto cats. Is having the gourami a good idea, or could I possibly go with the otto cats and the gourami? Oi, this is all very difficult. I suggested that they take the gourami back to the lfs where they got it, and that get some female gourami for the tank. Should I take the sulking gourami off their hands like they want me to, or just stay away from it? Your advice is very appreciated.

free stuff is always cool. i say take the gourami. your tank is getting a little crowded. take whatever fish you don't want and bring it over to roy williams house as a house warming gift. if roy isn't a fish lover then take em to your lfs and get a store credit. somebody will buy and love the fish, and hopefully nobody's getting bullied to death.

Good advice. I'm sure that Roy Williams could use some fish. Once I figure out where he lives I'll take some over. One problem is that I like all the fish that are in my tank. I may just have them take the gourami over to the lfs and try to swap him for a female. Either way it solves their problem, and it keeps the gourami from being bullied to death. Thanks.
