Fish Choice

I currently have 3 tiger barbs, and 3 otos swimming in my tank. what should i purchase today? i have wanted to re-establish my school of barbs, but i dont want them to pick on the more docile fish i would like for the future... any thoughts?

ok. ive decided to add 3 more barbs, and 3 more oto's. as well as an apple snail. does this sound alright? which order should i buy the fish in? oto's first or barbs?

I'd say oto's so they're already there when you add more tiger barbs, but be careful about what kind of fish you add in the future.

ya... but the tiger barbs have always tended to themselves... the oto's are always under the drift wood, or in the dense planted part during the day so the barbs cant even touch em anyway.. thanks!

Well, tiger barbs are usually stereotyped as being aggressive, but in a nice shoal, they are less aggressive and make a nice community fish.

Does anyone know if i were to add 3 more tiger barbs, if my current 3 barbs would settle down a bit and mess with each other?

they would yea. the best number is 10+
but in a smaller tank its impossible..
