fish dont like new food

bought my SA cichlids some new "premium cichlid flakes" they dont like them, they eat them but spit it out, alot of the flakes got sucked up into the filter cause they didnt eat it, this never has happend, they allways consume every bit of food , how many days should i try this food with them not eating it?

a week if you have to i think that they would accept the food eventually

Yeah, some fish take a while to become a new type of food, be patient, give them a week or so and they should start eating the new food.
