fish dying

i have lost a few fish lately
nitrates 0
nitrites 0
ammonia 0
pH 6.7
temp 80

i had a pleco die the other night who i have had for a few years, he was perfectly healthy. when pulling him out i noticed red marking along his head, like he was bleeding or something. well now my gourami has red on his side, and he keep twitching and freezing and floating around.

any ideas?

Red streaks sounds like septecemia. You should get an antibiotic from the LFS that says it treats it, and start treating.

Maracyn Two is recommended for it.

erm im not sure but all i can say is good luck with your treatment. ask the lfs workers if they can tell you.

Etheromycin (sp?) Says on the box that it treats septecemia.
I used it in my tanks when i had cyano bacteria (in my FW tank) and it knocked the stuff out perfectly, so i would think it would work just as well on septecemia
