Well... the tank is like 7 liters (I know its small it was just temporary) its been set up for maybe 2 weeks, there were 3 full grown fancy guppies (2 male, 1 female) and 6 baby guppies, um I know absulutely nothing about ammonia, nirite, or nitrate (I'm not a proffesional:D) but I also have noticed that there seems to be some sort of white fungus or something growing on them and I'm thinking that was most likely the problem... any suggestions? Thanks so much!

Good news... I found all the babies (all healthy) but bad news is another one who was infected by the white stuff has died... I didn't want to get the babies infected so I put the adults in a separate tank and are going to try and put in the 'Magic Disease Treater' medicine that the man at the fish store recommended, do you know if it will work or not? Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've never heard of the Magic Disease Treater medicine. What your fish are suffering from is extreme-over-crowded conditions and poor water quality, in my opinion. No matic medicine will cure them until the space and water quality are addressed.

Not sure what you mean about not knowing about ammona, nitrite and nitrate as you are not a professional, but test kits are available to any fish keeper. Perhaps your fish store can test your water for you.

There is a lot you should read on this forum about the ammonia nitrite and nitrate. It is in the beginning on a "Stickie". Once you read that you will have a better understanding and be able to ask specific questions.
