Fish Food

Hi all,
Can someone tell me whether or not you should crush Fish Flake Food into smaller pieces to help smaller fish eat it. I just seem to see alot of it gather at the top of my filter and also fall to tank bottom again gathering like dirt.

Any suggestions???

Unless you're feeding fry, I wouldn't bother crushing it.
Just feed less, and it should help. You can net out any leftovers.

The fish you have in your sig. should be more than capable of gulping down whatever size of flakes you throw in there.

When feeding my platys I always crush the food, that way they can eat it easier, and then seem to let less fall to the bottom.

Rub the food a bit between your thumb and forefinger and let it fall. Some will get crushed and some won't. In any case it sounds like you are currently feeding too much.
