Fish has Flesh wound

Ok I got a red tail shark... I thought it had "hole in the head" because it was a whit patch on its head and it was like scraped off... So i got treatment for it. now its a week later and it looks like a red flesh wound like bloody looking... So i need suggestions on how to fix this... will my other fish be ok?

A picture would be helpful to diagnose this. In the meantime I would try raising the tank temp to around 82 and adding some melafix to stave off further infection. Don't move any fish in or out of the tank, anything in the tank has already been exposed.

Melafix seemed to work regarding some wounds a couple of my fish had.

The label also says to keep the water quality high. To me that means water changes.

Will the melafix heal it? or will it always have that wound?

Melafix will keep it from getting infected, that's what you don't want. It will probably heal somewhat depending on what it is, a picture would help.
