Anyone have any idea what type of fish these are? All I was told is they are African cichlids. The owner wishes to give them away but without knowing what they are, im not sure i want them.
Not a clue, but whatever they are they're not african, they look central american to me. Possibly a hybrid, either way they look like they've been painted/dyed. Someone a bit more clued up on cichlids might be able to help more.
could it be the other way around? parrot dad and convict mother? just curious.
either way i think you are correct. i never thought about it but this person that has the fish also has another tank, and in it i saw some parrots and a small pink fish but never put 2 and 2 together.
