Fish missing

I know it sounds weird; but I had two platies and two neon tetras in my tank. I left them for the weekend and asked my friend to feed them. I donno what happened, now I'm missiong one Platy. I searched the tank. Removed the filter and there I found one small fish (probably a fry). I dont smell anything bad in the tank and I dont find any trace of a dead fish there. What would have happened. Did anybody come across such a situation.

I'm just feeling very bad. The Platy was pregnant. And now the remaining ones stomach is a little fat. I donno if its pregant or its becos it ate the other Platy.

Do a (little) stur up of the gravel and see if you can see any remains eg: spine

Check behind the tank , thats what happened to mine , jumped out , and fount it behind the tank

Is it possible it died while you were away, and your friend disposed of it, thinking/hoping you wouldn't notice? Otherwise, check around the back of the tank, in the hood and filter and under any ornaments in the tank.

freind maybe flushed it cause it died, or a jumper check the area where the tank is could have flapped around till it died
