Fish name

I am so stupid. Yesterday I bought a couple of cichlids, but their name is so hard to remember... Anyway, the store can't help me because I lost the receipt and the guy who sold the fish to me isn't working there right now.

So I need help identifying these cichlids. They get 3 inches, are white with a little faint black mixed in on their sides, black eyes, a vertical black line goes down the head through the eyes, a little red on the edges of the dorsal fin and tail. The black and red on the males is a little fainter than on females, and females have slightly yellow bellies. They're not very aggressive cichlids, and dwell on the bottom of the tank.

Yay! Nevermind, they're bolivian rams, thus the A for altispinosus.

Yeah, it was kinda confusing because my rams have very faint colors, as opposed to the bright ones you see on the internet. Will their colors return if I lower the pH? They need it soft, but mine is very high.

Their colors should change as they become happy and adjusted to the enviornment they are in. Give them a little time and a clean tank and you should see improvement.

How large are they when they reach maturity and their sexual dimorphism becomes apparent? They're about two inches now.

About 2-3 inches.

Also, Bolivian rams have different coloration than German blue rams. It's more subtle on Bolivians.

I threw in some flower pots, and their color came out in 3 minutes after hiding out in them.
