Hi guys, im new to this forum, so please excuse me if this question has been asked thousands of times :D

What kind of things aren't safe to put in a fish tank? If i want to put objects like rocks etc from outside, or even small plastic toys off when i was younger, is that safe? As long as they are big enough not to be swallowed? Also, i know that it's wise to boil the objects before and scrub them :)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

Hello, in my 55g i used shale rodes wich were scrubbed and then boiled and also driftwood wich was also scrubed and boiled. The driftwood was too big for the pot so I did it in the bath tub by pouring boiling water over it and soak it for a while. Hopefully this helps you out. All from my local river.

I oftenlly take my rocks from out in my garden when i need them and scrub and boil them, And when i am done with them i out them back in the garden. So yes you can, just follow the instructions that HomeBunnyJ gave you in that link, it is good advice.
