one of my red zebra cichlids keeps trying to swim up into the discharge of my filter, it starts swimming and then then starts splashing as it tries harder and harder to get into the filter, he creates a big ruckus and then all the other fish come to see whats going on and they chase each other around for a few seconds then they all go back to thier spots, about 20 minutes later, he's back at it again and its another cycle,, ever seen this ?

my kids seen finding nemo and now they are convinced hes trying to kill the filter like in the movie

i used to find my yoyo loaches in the filter part of my eclipse tank all the time.for some fish they just need this as the current remindes them of home in the wild.many fish need a current to swim against as natural stimulation

My Convict's Succedded at that...

I had my 3" male Convict actually get into a Whisper filter from the discharge side. I couldn't find him several times over the course of a couple of hours, and I finally broke down and searched... and searched... and what's that in the filter? It was a smaller whisper, and there was barely enough room for him in it doing a headstand from top to bottom.
