Fishkeepers arm?

I've noticed that my right arm has a golden yellow tinge to it...and since this is the arm that spends a couple of hours a week up to its arm pit in my fish tank....I was beginning to wonder if that's the cause?
Is it the water conditioners? Ferts? A terrible fish disease? LOL
Anyone else got a yellow arm?

I don't have a yellow arm, but i'm already gold/tan have that gold tan, but i've never had a yellow arm, weird, are you very fair skinned? did it stain u as if you were a white tee-shirt?

If you had a high ammonia content I guess it could tinge your arm. When you put your arm in your tank, does it burn a little?

Hi...yes. Very fair skinned, and my ammonia is 0ppm. I haven't noticed the water staining any clothes....
I wondered if it might be tannins leaching from a huge piece of bog wood...but the water doesn't look especially yellow.

Sounds strange. The tanins from the wood sound like a good bet.

in all seirousness make sure that if you are really up to your armpits to wash really good before working on you tank.deoderant can kill your fish.btw it sounds like a potassium deficency get at least 10-12 hours of sun a day power compacts work best

scrumpy, your arm hasn't finished cycling! patience! the yellow is a sign that the "good" bacteria is taking hold. trying to wash it off now would set you back to day one. let the yellow go, but check its level -- anything beyond deep orange is bad. after a while, it should go back to pale and freckly -- and then it's done!

No you need NATURAL sunlight and flourish excel or your arm might rot off!!! Lol or like prhelp said you might still be cycling, lol
