Hello,

I just finished my fish cycle and I was wondering roughly how much ammonia I should continue adding until I get my fish.

Also after my fishless cycle do I still require a dechlorinator that doesn't eliminate ammonia?? If so could someone recommend a brand name?

Thanks in advance!!

You can add around 5ppm of ammonia a day. Stop a day or two before you add the fish.

After the fishless cycle, you can use any dechlorinator. I tend to use a simple one like the AP Tap Water Conditioner, simply because it just dechlorinates (and is fairly cost effective).

Since your cycle is finished you can do the big water change now, but if I were you I think I'd wait till a day or two before you are getting your fish to do it...that way your nitrates will be pretty low.
