Hi folks,

I wasn't quite sure where to post this topic exactly.

We're looking to buy a house - it's already a known fact we have to re-do the electical in the house, it's all knob and tube wiring... so we're going to go room by room.

I'm pretty sure my tanks need a ground which is something K&T wiring doesn't have, so we are planning on running a extension from one of the circuts that has been redone for the pumps, etc.. until that room is redone but my curioisity is - does anyone have any of their fishtank equip running on knob and tube wiring? (hoods, air, etc). I'm a little concerned about the load that it would put on the wiring..

TIA!

eek sorry, no idea on that one. Bumping it up for you to see if anyone knows electrical that well. I can ask my dad when I talk to him next and see if he has any opinions on it.
