Flounder...I think?

I bought what they call a flounder at the lfs. I was trying to figure out what it will need to eat and how big it would get. I was reading on here and someone said that a ray has a gill behind it's eyes, but this "flounder" has one as well. It is in a freshwater tank. It is somewhat active. It either lays on the bottom or sticks to the side. It has two eyes on the top of it. It is white with dark spots when the light is on. When the lights are off it is brown. If anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated.

this could be a FW ray...why didnt you ask the store about it before you bought it? that would have been a good idea...if it is in a FW tank and it isnt dead it is probably a FW fish so you shoudl post this in the FW forum

Probably a freshwater flounder. I saw some at my LFS today.

Now repeat after me:

i think flounders are predatory fish that get a couple feet long

It's a bucket term for flat fish. There are freshwater flounder imported from India
