Ok-

I have a 44g aquarium set up for a couple days now and everything seems to be ok except my water is a tad cloudy and a little brown. I have a feeling that the filter that I was told to buy (Whisper 2) isn't cutting it so I'm thinking of getting the Fluval 304 canister filter. I was wondering if any of you guys have one and can comment on it. Also, the way my tank is set up, I would need for the tubes to be somewhat flexible as they would need to bend a little from underneath my tank to the top of it. Thanks a lot!

i have a 304 on a 72gal bowfront and it works great.the tubes are quite flexible so i dont think it would be a problem.

great price too.thats about 120 canadian and i paid 200..you wont regret it. only(glitch) is when you prime it make sure its right full and when you plug it in you have to pump the primer quite a bit to get all the air. but once you do it the first time its easy after that when cleaning it..

Well I got it today and I am pissed. It was easy to set up and everything seemed great until the end when I realized that they didn't include enough hose for my 44 gallon. So now I'm gonna have to call them up and order another hose and deal with this crappy Whisper filter for another week.

Don't send it back yet!!!!!

Oh wait a minute! Don't do send it back yet. When I got my 304 i thought the same thing. Read the directions , you will find that you need to cut the hose they sent you in half to make two hoses. I hope you get this message in time.

Jennifer-

Yes I did see that, but since my tank is high and the filter is a few feet below it, the remaining hose was nowhere near long enough. BUT - I called Hagen and ordered another hose. I got it all hooked up and running yesterday and it seems to be doing ok so far. We'll see.
