i just got a fluval fx5 for my fish only saltwater tank. My tank has an overflow on it that came attached to the tank (used to run a refugium when it was a reef tank). I was wondering how I can use that filter while still using the overflow so it looks nice. Is the best way to run the overflow into a sump and then run a hose from sump to filter to uv and then back out the overflow? or is there a better way? thanks

So you are running a fish only without live rock? If you have it stocked with live rock you don't need the Fluval except for special cases where you might want to run phosban, carbon, etc. I would run a sump the tank though if you are going to use it and let it pump out of the sump through the fx5/uv and then back up to the tank .
