Okay, so there is two hoses for a canister. One takes in water and one pushes out water. Well, this isnt the case for me. I opened the box and found only one hose! What do I do?! Should I return it or buy a hose online?

Don't worry!
If you read the instructions, you'll see that it says you have to cut the hose in two to suit the length that you need. Read over the instructions, because if you cut it incorrectly, you may end up with one piece that's too long and another that's too short.

haha, yes - just cut the one into two. If it's not enough length, you can get tubing at any petstore or even most hardware stores.

Make sure you measure the tubing on either the inside diameter or outside diameter depending on what the connections require.

If you can't find tubing at the LFS, try one of the hoses that comes with gravel vacs. I found the larger gravel vacs have just the right diameter hose for my UV sterilizer I am trying to use.

That's a good idea Then you can be accurate on how long the hose will need to be!

Do I need to put the inflow on one side and the outflow on the other side of the tank or put them both together in the center or on one side together?

On one side (not front or back) together is the proper method.
