Ok I setup my brand new Fluval 104 tonight. I read other threads about getting the air bubbles out, etc. Well it has been running but even after having it run for nearly 15minutes I can shake it and cause it to do this "woosh" sound of airbubbles into the tank. Is this normal and could it be caused from a crack/non-solid connection from my tubing? I have rigged up a DIY CO2 on the input but I have shut the valve until I can figure out the cause of the bubbles.

Mine took quite awhile to work through all of the air bubbles. Is it ok now? Its had a few hours to figure things out it looks like.

um...why are you shaking it though? :) Did you check all of your tubing connections? I think if they weren't solid you would be getting drips. I'd say leave it alone for a few hours and let it sort things out, dont shake it. Let us know how its goin

I've never shook mine, but I may tilt it from side to side after I have had the top off for maintance.

If its brand new, then its going to take it a few hours to get all the air out of the filter media and off of the sides of the filter.

But I would check all the conections very good to make sure there isn't any part of it leaking.

Could it be the seal around the housing? When I emptied the filter into the sink (just pouring it out) and water leaked out the back where it was sealed. Is this normal for you guys? could this be causing the bubbles?
