I guess my female peacock would rather eat then raise babies. She spit the eggs after food went into the tank. Wouldn't pick the eggs back up and i have no egg tumbler at this time.

Kinda bummed out, was 6 eggs.

In other news: My fish seem very shy lately. Not swiming around or anything. Temp in the tank is fine, no ammonia, no nitrates/nitrites, everything looks good....very weird. They are very jumpy.

In other other news: Thinking about picking up some Pseudotropheus demasoni "Pombo Rocks". But still not sure yet. Have no tank ready for them.

That sucks, but not totaly unheard of. If it were me I would really feeding more now, while she's not holding to help condition her up, get her nice fat and healthy. She'll hold to term when she's good and ready anyway, but just one less thing that she'll have to worry about next time she is.

Matt, if your ever up twords this way there is a super LFS in Knoxville TN that you have to stop at. I just finaly went to it recently, but have known about it for years. It's like walking into a public aquarium, but with price tags on the fish. I have no idea how many tanks they have, it's a lot. And every single one is pristine. They have a VERY nice cichlid selection as well. They had adult koi angles for $20. The wife and me are going to take a trip down there in the next week or so. I've never seen anything like it before.

Yeah, i'm feeding lots then doing some really good WCs to get them back into it again. I was acctually surprised she held as long as she did this time...and that she even held at all. She is still pretty young. I'd like to get an egg tumbler (or make one..DIY = err) just incase. I'm sure it'll be put to good use in a room full of rockfish no matter what!

I think i know what you are talking about in Knoxville, heard of a good one there. Remember the name of it? I bet the Smoky Mountain Aquarium Society has heard of it before or some of the guys down here in Charlotte. I'd really like to go check it out sometime! Oh and welcome back Orion, its been a while, figured you've been busy lately. :)

I hear there are some really nice Koi angels up in that area....Sally Boggs strain. Which i believe holds more orange and less marbling then most...though i could be mistaken.

Oh I'm sure the guys at the SMAS have been there. The name is real easy to remember, Aquarium. Yep, that's all it's called. With a store like they have it's easy to remember anyway.

lol, thanks for the welcome back but I've not been anywhere. Just moved to more Lurker Mod than anything. New job has me working 60+ hours a week some weeks and I'm averageing around 1200 miles on the normal 40 hour weeks so I've been busy to say the least. But I like it so no complaint from me.

Yes the koi angels they had are just beutiful. Not sure of the strain, but I know I'd like to have some. When I go back down there, hopefully this weekend, I'm either going to get some Herotilapia multispinosa (sp? it's to early) AKA Rainbow Cichlids, or some of the adult Koi angels to go in the 75. I also may get some hatchets, or another type of tetra to start a second school as well.

They also had some juvie keyhole cichlids that I'm pondering getting. I just always thought that they were a pretty fish, but have yet to see anyone offer them. But if they get some apisto's in by next week I know I'll get them instead.
