NEW LIFE SPECTRUM! They have different forumlas. Basic cichlid would be fine for pretty much any cichlid. I've used "general" tropical for all my cichlids too. All my fish, Discus, to Africans, to SW fish go crazy over it. The good part that i find is that a can of this stuff can last you quite a long time, and i love that.
That is....if you are talking about flake/pellets. As for other food, i will feed my Discus frozen bloodworms. My africans just get the NLS, same with my SW fish.
