For the loach lovers - Vaillantella maassi

I just received the Chocolate Long-finned Loach (Vaillantella maassi) that I've been expecting. These are VERY hard loaches to get in the U.S. Here's a picture of my new fish acclimating to his/her new home. Better pics (without the plastic bag) to come!

hmmmm intresting. if i had to guess i would have never thought that fish was a loach hehe. hes cool.

He was offered by an on-line rare fish dealer sort of as a side-attraction to a bunch of other fish he was selling. Strangely enough....nobody else was interested. Being the loach nut that I am...I just HAD to have him! Now I need to find some more. He's about 5 inches long and will color up gorgeously once he's comfortable in the aquarium.

He was $15.00 but toss in $35 for shipping and it turns into a $50 fish!
