Does it happen a lot, Big Vine? The reason we returned our blue crays is cuz I caught one of them dragging around my brand new beautiful angel.
Your angel, eh? Dang it, that sucks. I'd wanna throw my crays out the window if I ever caught them killing one of my angelfish---or any of my "keepers," for that matter.
But I already know better, of course, which is why I'd never house them together. Sorry you had to learn that lesson the hard way.
And I refer to some of my fish as "keepers" because I really do have fish I intend to keep and a few fish that I deem to be, for lack of a better term, expendable. It doesn't mean that I neglect them or don't take care of them, but it means that I expose them to the possibility of being eaten in a predator-prey situation...as shown in the above pics.
In truth, most fish tend to survive a long time in the same tank with a cray. It is by no means an instant, all-out feeding frenzy or anything of that nature.
