Fresh water tank question

We cleaned out our fresh water tank, and now the snails are moving towards the top and getting out of the water. What is the reasoning for this.

I have no idea why the snails are moving out of the water but they do tend to do that because they are escape artists. Mine will attempt to leave the tank if I don't have a lid on it.

Hopefully someone will come along and give you a better answer......an answer unlike mine that contains fact and logic. *BOUNCINGS

What kind of snails are they? For some species, this would be fairly normal, and for others, it might be a sign of something awry with the water.

MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE TOP OF THE LID FOR EGGS some snail lay eggs like that
