is it possible to keep these clams in a pond, if so, how big do they get? All I know about them is they eat by siphoning microorganisms and bacteria, like all other clams. But if they ran out of food, what would they eat?

not yet mr.mushroom i now a bit.as long as you keep your pond running there should enough biological activity to create suspended particals for the clams to feed on.if there is and decaying vegetable matter or missed food you should be ok.but there is also the matter of the clams reproducing in your pond.the young will be disspersed into the water column at which point they become free floating parasties untill they develop more.i don't know how that could affect your fish but in a pond it shouldn't be a big problem as the clams are usualy not reccomended for aquariums.i hope that helps, and don't get too impatient.it just takes a while before someone with an anwser comes across the right question.
