The shrimp that I just got today are just awsome looking:D . Just wanted to know if they will eat brown algae, cause their on my crinum eating that stuff. And if they do less work for me and a problem really solved. Stupid question if their on the plant eating them. never mind, just thought I let the forum know. :D

Brown algae is really diatoms I think, not real algae and is usually found in new tanks. Ghost shrimp usually don't touch algae (my only go after algae wafers). I picked up some otos to take care of my brown algae.

Well the shrimp I purchased were red candy cane shrimps. Their so cool looking. They stopped going on the crinum and found a new home, the drift wood, so now I hardly see'em :(. But their reaaly cool looking and I don't mind if their in hiding. I was going to put them in w/my botia kubotai, then my boss screamed out "NO", your botias going to eat them. Didn't know they eat shrimp, so luckly I said something or they would've been doomed once I put them in there.
