I want to get some friends for my green pufferfish. He or she (how do you differentiate that by the way?) is about 1.5 inch now. I'm thinking of some tiger barbs, is that a good idea? :-/
Thanks in advance.

No, I wouldn't recommend it, Tiger Barbs are freshwater, and there faster then ur little puffer. Is your puffer in Brackish water? They really do best there. Once it's switched over, you could try some kind of gobie, I personally favor the Knight Gobie, or the Bumble Bee Gobie, but it's all a personal preference..

Bear in mind that puffers, no matter the size, are highly carnivorous...thusly you may only be inviting friends for them over for dinner.  Tank mates for puffers have to be really fast.  You may be better just to heel them by themselves.  Trust us on this...even the dwarf puffers can decimate a tank population...we know all about that.

thanks guys
i do know that puffers are highly carnivorous, from my own experience.
and they don't observe the rules of what fits into the mouth
they take bites out fish that are too big for their mouth.
i supposed that is cool.... *thumbsup2* no?

It's cool if you're into that sort of thing.  My bala shark took issue w/ the concept, tho.  Made one of the dwarf puffers we had disappear.  Took a while to figure that all out tho.
