From what region?

From what region of the world,in your opinion,do the most challenging cichlids to keep,raise,and breed come from?And whats the easiest?Bracket:Lake malawi,lake tang,lake victoria,other africans,SA,or CA?IMO lake victoria is the hardest and SA is the easiest,but now that i have kept some harder fish to raise, i'd like to raise the bar a little and see if i have learned enough over the past year?Plus im having a hard time sleeping so i have nothing better to do?

 

[Cichlid-Man]

Madagascar cichlids are the most challenging to keep and breed IMO, mostly because they are very rare (hard to get a hold of) and tough to breed. Tangs come in 2nd (mostly the featherfins).

Easiest are Central Americans with SAs close behind. They are easy to keep and the sheer number of fry they produce compared to mouthbrooders make them easier to breed and get legit fry from IMO.
