Do you think a Frontosa and a planted tank would be a good combo? i havent read much about the frontosa being a digger and have seen a lot of pics. with them in a planted tank ?
Thanks

hello. what size tank do you have? i used to have several burundi fronts in a 125 gallon, and did not find them to be too bad about digging.

the best way to do fronts is to buy 8-12 young (1-1.5 inch) individuals. feed good pellets, mysis, etc. and remove your males as they sex-out.

what you want to do is basically have 1-2 males per 7-10 females. having too many males causes aggression problems. HTH

wishe i had better camera.....but the one in the front is now 7"
and the nunchal hump is amazing......i just want to go back to the more agressive and proliferant africans...fronts are beautiful, but
extremely docile ....only agressive at breeding..have a good one and good luck

Just don't

put a Red Devil in a tank that is planted. I worked for a month trying to get that sucker to live with plants and all he did was tear the tank apart. That fish is just ignorant. He will not live with other fish and all he does is dig up the tank. Right now he is on punishment in the 28 gallon until I get the 40 situated.
