Fry help now

ok so. i was at work. my platy had babies. i tried to scoop it out with a net to put it in a fry net. and he burrowed himself pretty deep into my gravel...hes right along the glass, about 3 inches or more down (its a mound of gravel). do i need to dig him out??

Fry can get trapped in the gravel but I have seen my guppy fry get down as far as they can and get out later, even down between the glass and into my bottom substrate, he is probably just hiding. Watch and if it does not come out for a long time I would worry but it is probably ok.
